Jim Beam Brings in Red Stag Apple Cider – and Mila Kunis
By Marcia Frost
Jim Beam brought in Red Stag as a way to lure those who weren’t huge fans of straight bourbon (like me) into the world of this Kentucky whiskey. The plan worked better than expected as millions around the world embraced this spirit enhanced with natural black cherry.
The popularity of Red Stag has turned it into an entire line, with the production of Red Stag Spiced, Red Stag Cinnamon, Red Stag Honey Tea and the latest that’s come to my doorstep, Red Stag Hardcore Cider.
Don’t let the name of this bottle confuse you. This is not the type of hard cider you get from beer bottles, nor is it anything like you’d make at home. It’s a true Jim Beam product of bourbon infused with apple cider and echoing flavors of cinnamon and nutmeg.
During the worst winter I ever remember, Red Stag Apple Cider has kept me warm more than once. It doesn’t even require any preparation as it’s perfect on the rocks, straight up or even in hot black tea, but at 80 proof, you’re not going to want to put it in your morning tea.
The Red Stag line isn’t the only thing on the minds of Jim Beam these days. They’ve partnered with actress Mila Kunis as the global partner and spokesperson in Jim Beam’s new Make History campaign.
Kunis, who is a bourbon lover, certainly knows how to make partnerships. She is known for her roles in “That 70s Show” with now boyfriend Ashton Kutcher and the movie Friends with Benefits with Justin Timberlake.
The actress will not only be promoting Red Stag, but will also be seen in television commercials for other Beam products, including Devil’s Cut and Jacob’s Ghost.
“As a fan of bourbon and a huge proponent of making history,” announced Kunis, after meeting with Jim Beam’s Master Distiller Fred Noe, “I am thrilled to be the newest member of the Jim Beam family.
